The
Nassau Land Trust, incorporated in 2001, seeks to provide
choices for landowners by working to find solutions that
allow landowners to realize tax benefits and protect their
real estate investments for the long term, while protecting
the conservation values of their property. Our mission
is to protect open space in Nassau County, Long Island by
working with landowners and other interested parties to conserve
land.
The Nassau Land Trust is a member of
the Land Trust
Alliance. Founded in 1982, the Land Trust Alliance is
the national leader of the private land conservation movement,
promoting voluntary land conservation across the country and
providing resources, leadership and training to the nation's
1,500-plus nonprofit, grassroots land trusts, helping them
to protect important open spaces.
We are always working to make our website
a better resource for landowners interested in conservation
options, and for Long Island land conservation in general.
If there is information you would like to see included on
our site, or resources and links that we ought to know about,
please e-mail us at info@nassaulandtrust.org.
We invite you to sign
up for our mailing list, to receive occasional information
about upcoming events and issues relevant to the conservation
effort.
Thank you for your interest.
